FundedX

day trading funded account buy

Yes, you can buy a day trading funded account and trade real capital instead of your own. You pick a FundedX evaluation, hit the profit target inside the risk rules, and get funded. Accounts run from $5K all the way to $800K, with scaling up to $10M. No session quotas. No waiting on a magic number of trading days.

If you live in the first hour of the New York open, this page is for you. Here's how the buy works, which path fits a high-frequency style, and how to get through the evaluation without torching it on day one.

What "buying a funded account" actually means

You're not buying a guaranteed payout. You're buying an evaluation that proves you can trade. Pass it, and FundedX moves you onto a funded account where you trade the firm's money and keep a real cut of the profits.

The registration fee is refundable, so the cost of entry is closer to a deposit on your own discipline than a sunk cost. Day traders feel that more than most. You take more shots per session than a swing trader, and you want that fee back when the edge holds up.

Pick the path that fits how you trade

FundedX runs four evaluation models. The right one depends on how you trade intraday and how fast you want capital.

Turbo

Aggressive and quick. One 5% profit target, a 7-day window, and copy trading is allowed. Turbo pays a full 100% profit split. If you're confident and you trade fast, this is the sprint.

1-Phase

One target, one shot. Hit the profit target inside the risk rules and you're funded. Direct. Good if your trading is already clean and you don't need a second checkpoint to prove it.

2-Phase

Two checkpoints. More room to show consistency rather than one lucky session. Suits scalpers who'd rather demonstrate a repeatable edge across two stages.

Instant Funding

Skip the evaluation. Trade funded capital from day one and keep a 95% split. Costs more upfront, but for an active trader who knows their numbers, time-to-funding is the whole point.

See what each one costs and which sizes are live on our challenges.

The rules you trade inside

Day traders break accounts on drawdown, not on targets. Learn these before you open a position:

  • Daily loss limit. Measured against your start-of-day balance. Stack two bad scalps and chase the third, and this is the line you cross first.
  • Overall loss limit. The hard floor on the account. Cross it and the evaluation is done.
  • Profit target. Hit it inside the loss limits. Turbo's is 5%; the rest are spelled out on the rules and pricing pages.
  • Leverage up to 1:50. Plenty for intraday forex and index work. Size your lots to the daily loss limit, not to the margin sitting in the account.
  • Unlimited time on standard challenges. No clock. You can't rush a pass in two sessions, and you're never racing a deadline either.

Unlimited days on the standard evaluations is quietly the most trader-friendly part of the whole thing. It stops you from forcing the target into one volatile session, which is exactly where day traders over-leverage and blow up.

Platforms

You trade on cTrader, MetaTrader 5, or TradeLocker. MT5 is the workhorse: deep charting, custom indicators, and EA support if you automate part of your entries. cTrader gives you fast execution and clean depth-of-market. TradeLocker is the browser-and-mobile-first option, quick to load and easy to read when you're juggling several positions during a busy open. EAs are allowed on standard challenges, so automate what you trust.

Set your platform when you buy the evaluation. Don't switch mid-challenge. The buy prop trading challenge step lets you lock it in up front.

How to buy one, start to finish

  1. Pick a size and a path. Decide on your buying power (anywhere from $5K to $800K) and whether Turbo, 1-Phase, 2-Phase, or Instant Funding fits. Compare them on our challenges.
  2. Pay the refundable registration fee. Treat it as a deposit, not an expense.
  3. Trade the evaluation. Hit the profit target while staying under the daily and overall loss limits.
  4. Get funded. Pass, then trade a funded account and keep your split. Payouts are fast and run bi-weekly. Some funded traders get paid within minutes.

Getting through the evaluation without blowing up

A few habits separate the traders who pass from the ones who reset:

  • Size to the daily loss, not the target. If a single idea's stop risks more than a slice of your daily ceiling, the position is too big. One red day shouldn't end your run.
  • Stop after you hit your daily number. Both ways. Up or down, walk. Day traders rarely lose the account on the first trade. They lose it on the eighth.
  • Don't try to pass in two days. On standard challenges you've got unlimited time. Use it. Spreading the target across a week of clean sessions beats swinging for it on one wild open.
  • Trade the hours you know. If your edge is the NY open, trade the NY open. Sitting out the dead sessions is a skill, not a weakness.

Who's behind it

FundedX was founded by AJ Currency (Adrian Mudronja). He was a trader before he ran a firm, and it shows. The rules lean toward giving traders room instead of tripping them up. Unlimited time on standard challenges, leverage that won't bury you, a refundable fee, and splits that scale up to 100%. That's why the program reads less like a gauntlet and more like an actual shot at funding.

FAQ

What does buying a day trading funded account get me?

An evaluation. Pass it inside the risk rules and you move to a funded account where you trade the firm's capital and keep your profit split. The registration fee is refundable.

Which evaluation is best for an active day trader?

Want speed? Turbo or 1-Phase, or skip straight to Instant Funding. Prefer to prove consistency across two stages? 2-Phase. All four sit on our challenges.

What's the profit target?

Turbo is a 5% target in a 7-day window. The 1-Phase, 2-Phase, and Instant Funding targets are listed on the rules and pricing pages. Check them before you buy.

What are the loss limits?

A daily loss limit and an overall loss limit, both spelled out per challenge. Day traders blow accounts on these long before they miss a target, so size every position against them.

Is there a time limit?

Standard challenges run on unlimited time. No deadline, no clock. Turbo is the exception with its 7-day window.

What platforms and leverage do I get?

cTrader, MetaTrader 5, or TradeLocker, with leverage up to 1:50. EAs are allowed on standard challenges. Pick your platform when you buy.

Ready to trade real capital? Pick your size and path on our challenges and start your evaluation.
